Last week youth in Nova Scotia spent the week planning and prepping for the Lismore summer Recreation program that began July 7th and will run until Aug 22nd 2025.
Wednesday, as part of their training, youth achieved certification in First Aid. Thursday the team gathered together with other recreation team leaders from across Pictou County to sharpen their leadership skills in an all-day training program with Pictou County Recreation. Friday it was meet the volunteers and set up the space day with a workshop in the afternoon led by Autism Nova Scotia.
It was a great week of training, connecting and preparing for this inspiring summer program for kids aged 4-12, the only one in the area available to youth.
