It was a great sunny day at Little Harbour Community Centre in Nova Scotia when youthLEADarts welcomed community partner EastCut’s Senior Sawyer, Robert Ennis to lead a birdhouse making workshop.
The youth were completely engaged and completed the task on hand while learning about jobs in the trades, the importance of keeping a construction site clean, hand eye coordination, active problem solving, engineering and working together! youthLEADarts looks forward to hosting Robert again on June 10th from 4:30-6:30pm at Lismore Hall.
This is community partnership in ACTION! Thank you to EastCut and to Robert for your generosity and for providing a practical and creative experience that has given youth new tools to work with and new pathways to explore, not to mention, new homes for our feathered friends!
