youthLEADarts Lismore, NS launched their first ever crochet workshop with crochet artist, crafter, and business entrepreneur, April Stewart, who not only volunteered her time but donated all the materials so our youth could participate.
The youth were asked what do you think crocheting teaches you about LEADership? Some of the responses were, “Patience, focus and to never give up!” and “Perseverance.”
All of the LEAD values were put into action!

Act – be brave and try something new
Drive – keep going
Youth Mentor, Melanie McDuff, noticed that when some kids got the hang of it quicker, that they went around the room helping others by showing them how to do it. They went where they were needed!
It was fun to see everyone learn something new!
